"HALT before you enter." 
Today in Classroom Management we talked about a method called HALTing. 
Don't enter the classroom if you are:

Hungry

Angry

Lonely

Tired


My 9th grade Bible class, always so much enthusiasm! 

I feel like this could and should apply in all parts of my daily life, not just the classroom.

Just the facts...

So here's the news. Not good. Not bad. Just straight up facts. (Facts from a girl on oxycodone and emotionally ... well, slightly unstable and a little heartbroken.) Argentina is in the rear view mirror now - this means no traveling for a long while, the thing I love most. No walking for 6 weeks - who knows when I'll run again, the thing I love most after traveling. Several months of physical therapy for a stapled MCL, replaced ACL, a sewn meniscus and fractured femur. (I've always had weak bones, so it doesn't surprise me.) 45 minute surgery turned into a 2 hour surgery, not as scary as I thought. Trampolines are dangerous and I will never jump on one again. I'll be back at WWU this quarter, possibly in a wheelchair? Not sure what classes I can take yet. My friends are the best. They've called, visited, emailed, and prayed. Most of all, I've got the best Father, who tells me: "Come to me, I know you're weak and have found life burdensome...

Sun, are you coming?... after a late night I'm watching a beautiful sunrise. Waiting is hard. The silhouetted Blue Mountains are becoming lighter and lighter. The sun should peek out any second. The house is filling with light causing my eyes to squint out the window toward the East. We had a girls sleep over last night. 12 of us! Each girl, such a close friend to me. I've never had so many awesome girl friends in my life! And never have I had as many sleepovers in my life, as I have in the past 4 months. Sun, I'm still waiting for you! Are you coming this morning? Did you rise behind the forest of black trees? Am I at the right window? I was talking with a friend the other day about how life is so different after an SM experience. She said, "Am I depressed? Or maybe I'm just not an extravert anymore? I lose energy in big groups. I need to get away to have my alone time. I'm different and I don't understand why.
